Got a Mark 6 GTI in the shop. With the coolant leak customer thought it was the water p They go from the turbo to the auxiliary water p In these things it's really hard to see but when they're when the plastic is cast there's a line that goes all along this and it completely split all the way down the line. It's very hard to see but when you put pressure and fluid in it comes peeping out pretty bad. So a quick common upgrade that we do on a lot of these Mark 6's is Ryan offers a metal version of the same pipe. Very well built and you don't have to worry about anything splitting. They even come with a pack of hose clamps If you already have it deleted that's good and I just move this boost tube out of the way because it's kind of a pain to pull out completely. We just got to get out of the way just to get that and I pull the soft lines out that go on to the auxiliary water p Makes it a lot easier to reinstall. Yes if you ever have a coolant leak coming from the front of your motor and doesn't seem to be the radiator or you look farther and it doesn't seem to be the water p Although water p The oil cooler is known to leak coolant and oil and the water p This car does have some wetness around on the block there but I can'tell if it's just from coolant spewing or what it may be but once we get this fixed and get it dried up we'll see if there's any further issues. This is a new customer so we never touched this car until now. He just wants to get it running and driving. I guess he just bought it Another tip for
