Hi, I'm James for Tuffy Tire and Auto Service Center. Welcome to our AutoCare Aware video series. Today I'd While today's vehicles often last for 150,000 miles or more, it's a common misconception they need less maintenance. In fact, one reason vehicles last longer is because of a predetermined maintenance schedule developed by the manufacturers. These schedules were designed to ensure that timely, routine checkups are performed and worn automotive components are replaced. As you consider scheduling routine maintenance appointments for your vehicle, there are two primary pieces of information you should know. First, in your glove box should be the owner's manual for your vehicle. Most people rarely read them, but they should. Your vehicle's owner manual contains a suggested maintenance schedule that is targeted to specific mileage intervals. During an oil change related service, our trained service technicians will also inspect your fluids, hoses, filters, and tire pressure, among other basic maintenance services. In addition to the oil change, our service technicians will balance and rotate your wheels and tires, complete a full brake inspection, and check your wheel alignment at 12 to 15,000 miles. At 30,000 mile intervals, certain basic parts of your vehicle will So as you can see, the key to keeping your vehicle trouble free and lasting a long time is to develop a routine maintenance schedule with your Tuffy Tire and Auto Service Center. Remember, at Tuffy, we stand by our work and promise it will be done right, period.
