We began in 1983, when Art Boileau and his nephew, J.D. Hays, bought Gene Croft Repair. The "A.J." comes from combining the first letters of Art and J.D. In 1993, Art retired and J.D.'s wife, Delsa, joined the company as bookkeeper and Service Adviser. A second full-time mechanic, Nolan Younce came on staff in about 2000. Art passed away in 2005 and Delsa in 2012. Later that same year, J.D. married Teresa Metzger, who assumed the job of bookkeeper. Agnes DeVasure, Delsa's mom, filled in after Delsa's passing and was instrumental in keeping the company functioning. Cars and technology have changed drastically in the last 30 years, but our commitment to providing quality, affordable service hasn't.
