I'm a district auto center manager with Sears Automotive. Sears has a phenomenal training program so even if you come in as an entry level tech, we provide training and grow you into our I started out as a tech one doing tires and batteries. I've worked my way up since. The type of experience that a technician would need here is knowing how to work on cars, flat repairs, oil changes, batteries. I do alignments, brake jobs, suspension work. The diagnostics and drivability repairs. The toughest part of the job has got to be the wide variety of cars I work on. Everyt Sears provides technical training here. They have tech classes where they can take. I received training when I got here. Before that I had no actual training. I had a little bit of experience and I was going to school to be an automotive technician and then Sears also helped me train. There's always room for more training at Sears so I'm hoping to stay a couple more years with Sears so I can move on. Sears is always there to provide you for advancements in the company. I'm very proud to work for Sears. It's a great company to work for. Again, they take excellent care of their employees. They treat you with respect.
