Okay, let's get to it. Adding custom sounds into Minecraft is actually very easy to do and I've tried to simplify the whole process here as much as possible. To do t First you should download from my website a special text file that I have there. It's in a zip folder. It's a special text file and it shows you all of the sounds that are inside of Minecraft. Let me bring that up so you can see what that looks Here it is. It's a text file. So any text editor can open there it is. Now we'll be working with a very simple one down here. I'll scroll down and right down here we have the barrel. We'll be doing the open sound here for the barrel and that's those two sound files. I spent a long time getting t If you want to change a certain sound all you need to do is do a search in here to find that. Go up here to the top someplace. Let's do a find. Let'say I wanted to change the sound of the campfire. Click on find next and that brings you down to the campfire section and there we go. There are all of the different sound files related with the campfire. So it's pretty easy to find one of these t You just need to have a good idea of what is going to be named and if you're not really sure then try t Now one t I'm going to show you that real fast here. Find and then player and do a search and here we go here the player sounds and they're right down in here. There's the player attack, player hurt and so forth. Okay we'll scroll back down here to that one section. There it is our barrel section right down here. Now I pulled all of this stuff out of a JSON file for Minecraft and if you'really curious about where that JSON file is sitting or what it looks Go ahead and take a look at it there and explain that whole t But we'll keep things simple So t Now the one you want for t Again it's just a zip file. It's a text file that's just been zipped up so it can download very quickly and easily. There you go. That is that one list with all of the sounds inside of Minecraft. The other t Now the program that I use is called Audacity and that's audacityteam. org right there. Easy to find that or just do a search for audacity on Google and you'll find it. Now the thing I Actually it does a lot more than we ever need for Minecraft so free program works great. The sound file list right there and the audacity program or some other sound editing program. Alright we'll be doing the opens in here. You see t Here's power 1, power 2, power 3, here's drip 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. A lot of times you'll see these duplicates in here with just slightly different names. It's basically now what is happening here is that Minecraft randomly shuffles through these there's just some slight variations. It just makes the game a bit more interesting. But if you want to change these you either have to change both of them to the same file. Just give it two names w Now we need to make a resource pack for t I You bring up my folder on that and here we go. Your resource pack has to contain three t An assets folder right here. The pack. mcmetafile right there and a pack. png icon image. Actually you don't have to have that's all it is. But anyt The pack. mcmetafile has t I have it saying custom sounds. You can say anyt I just have mine saying custom sounds. Then we'll build the assets folder over here. You can download t Let me show you where that is. It's right down here right below the text list file right there. So there's that sound zip. That's the one that we're building right now. Okay, let's go ahead and bring that folder back up again. Now I'm putting t It doesn't matter where it is, just put it somewhere that's easy to find. And then let's put there we go. Now inside of the assets folder we need to have t I've already done that so let's go ahead and take a look at that. So inside the assets I have a Minecraft folder. That's that first part. Inside of here I have a sounds folder. That's that second part right here. Inside of that's that t And inside the block folder is the barrel folder right there. Inside of that is where we're making our file. Now I have a new sound in here. It's called Metal Clang. I'm using t And we need to make two of these. I'll use the same file for both. Okay, now we need to convert t ogg or the OGG format. And I'll do that with that Audacity program. Here we are. I already have t As you can see it's a mono file. It doesn't matter. It can be stereo. It can be mono. T It's under one second. As you can see over here, real short file. Simply go up here to File. Come down to Export, Export as OGG right there. It should be in the same location you're already sitting at. Make sure it says the right t It does. And choose Save. Choose OK. Let's make sure it's there. There it is. And that's fine. That's all you need to use that Audacity program for. Now we need to have two of these. One that says Open 1 and one that says Open 2. So go ahead and we'll do that. I'll just rename t Open 1. There we go. Open 1. Let's right click Copy. And then right click and Paste. And let's rename t Open 2. There we go. So there are the two sound files that we need to change that barrel opening sound. Again you just have to match what we have over here in the sound list. Okay, so now go back to that folder where everyt And we need to convert t And that just means zipping up that, that, and that. Just ignore the WAV file right there. So I'll click on the Assets. I'll hold the Control key down. I'll click on the pack. mcminute. And I'll click on the pack. png. Right click. I'm using 7-zip for t I'll go to Add to Arc And again just make sure it says zip. Right there. That's the important t And I'll change t So that it says sounds. Now I already have one of these in my game. So I'm going to change t Choose OK. Give it a second. And there it is. There's our zip file. If you want to do t Right click. I have Winrar down here. Add to arc Right there. And so we make sure that you are saving that's the important step right there. And do the same t Just give it the name you want and then save it. OK. That's all taken care of. Now we need to put t So I'll bring Minecraft up here. There we go. And there's the barrel. If I right click on t It has that kind of a woody kind of sound to it with a bit of a watery sound. Let's go ahead and now change that. Click on Escape. Go to the Options in here. Open it. T And then open the Resource Pack folder right there. Now what you need to do is you need to copy that zip file that we just made into t And I already have mine sitting right there. Just go to your other folder. Right click. Copy. Come over here and then right click. Paste. And you'll have it right in t OK. So that's in there. Once you have it in here, it'll show up on the left hand side There's that custom icon. You can see it right there. There's my name. Custom sounds. Click on that arrow. And that places that at the top of your Resource Pack stack on the right hand side. Now all t And that's all we need. Click on Done. That Mojang refigured that. Takes a second in here. OK. Click on Done again. And back to game. We're back inside Minecraft now. So there we go. That easy to change sounds inside of Minecraft. Don't forget you can download that list of sounds from my website. You also can download that sounds. zip Resource Pack that we made They're both on my site and there's a link for that right up there, upper right hand corner of the video and also in the description. OK. If you Don't forget to click on Share and Subscribe as well. When you click on Subscribe, also And I'll
