505 Performance

Hello this is Zach with 505 Performance. We're going to show you how to run one of our new injected 600 horsepower motors and set everything up. So first step is to make sure your main jet is right. So Sean's going to show you where the main jet is. You want to watch out because it has a spring inside. There's your main jet. So we have a 115 in there and that's for 6,000 feet elevation. This will be your jet schedule for elevation. Okay we're going to put this back together. This is on your main valve coming out of the fuel p This is your shutoff valve. It's an on-off valve. You can set that up to a keel switch. Right now it's on the on position. The second thing you're going to want to check is you're going to want to get a two thousandths feeder gauge You're going to want to make sure all the throttle blades are in sync. Now this can take a little while but we've already pre-done it for our demonstration. So you want to make sure that it goes in. Each one is exactly two thousandths. It can't be too loose and it can't be too tight. Just a slight drag on it. This is going to set your idle speed. Do not change the position on your sinking on your carburetors or should I say stacks. This is going to be your idle speed adjustment. Sean will need 1 3 8th wrench. This will lean or rich in the amount of fuel to the motor through the barrel valve. This is your barrel valve right here. Timing in your distributor must be set between 34 and 36 degrees. They are locked out. Do not mess with that. Okay we are ready to fire this off. You take just a little bit of fuel And then we have five gallons of alcohol. Okay and that's how it'set up to start. Now once it started and at temperature the motor will fire. You've got to be careful. It will try to get away from you though. So this is the setup on an alcohol injected motor. Do not vary from these spots. All the jets are the same.
