Our state-of-the-art CNC equipment is the most advanced available in the region. The staff boasts more than 100 years of collective experience and include accomplished racers and crew chiefs. This combination of machinery and experience mean that your engine will have more horsepower and reliability. It also allows us to turn your project around quickly.

When we took over the business in 2010, weren't going to get anywhere near where we needed to be with the antique equipment we had here from the 50s and 60s, the equipment that ran on r My name is Ken McCall. I'm the vice president of Barowski Race Engines. We've been building engines here since 1968. We build high performance domestic engines, LS, big block, some Ford, some small block, but we've been building engines since GM started making high performance engines. We build high performance reliable engines and have been real successful at it. People who are into this are really into it. They've been thinking about it for 20, 30 years. They're doing this as a hobby. It's a passion of theirs. They're getting usually back into this hobby. They ask for an engine that they don't have to worry about. It will drive One of the big reasons we got away from just building carbureted engines. The engines we build now start at, let'say, 5,600 horsepower, is basically where the OE engines leave off. We're able to make very reliable engines that are driving around on the streets, 1,500 horsepower. We build engines that make way more than that. We add a 4-axis CNC to pair up doing all the block work. Stroker notching, decking, boring, then using it daily for 14 years. We did overhaul it. We drives new upgraded software. We wanted to make sure that the software on the F68 and the 5-axis were the same so we could swap programs and have some level of redundancy. Went from there to SG9M seat and guide machine. We've probably done 15,000 cylinder heads on it. The next piece that we bought was the CNC cylinder home, the H85A. It's accurate to a fourth decimal point. We noticed an immediate increase in horsepower, decrease in blow-by, and their plus or minus 5, 10 horsepower. As much as you try, you just can't get that level of repeatability with the old Antiques. We test all our homes, every block, with a digital gauge to make sure we're doing the surface finish that they call for every application. Blocks don't get the same home because they don't get the same rings and they don't get the same application. Now, with this type of equipment, we're able to not only do it, but do it repeatedly. We make parts that we branded, we sell on our website. Fortunately, with the training that's available for the Rottlers, we're able to make sure people can come to work and know they'll be educated on whatever they want to know. It gives the company, the employees, a sense of pride. The result of that was we actually won the top award in the state from the governor for our training program. That makes us certificate and that'something we're all proud of. So now we're building better engines than we ever could have. We've just been adding new equipment as we can. Hope to continue to do this long to the future.
