What sounded simple, such as the magnets for the doors, took experimenting for months on end. Even the slightest change in a seam location had an effect on performance. Hey, this is Mike with JTOPs and today this is going to be a real short video. It's just putting the soft top up on with our shade. First thing I have to do is take our boot off the back of the Jeep so that I can get to the soft top. This is our boot. It's made with the same materials. We use the tonneau, neoprene men, stretches over the back, the whole idea is you can see it's dirty and my soft top is not. So I'm just going to roll it up and I'm going to set it in the back here. Now I'm just going to take the soft top, push it up into position to get the fold. It's pretty easy. I love the way they've done with the JL. The soft top is just really incredibly easy to put up. So the first thing that's important about our shade is we have our front nylon strip that's locked in between the metal part of the windshield and the outer fiberglass. So we're just going to untuck it. We're going to fold it back. We You can see the four magnets here. This will give you access. I'll hold down the sun visors and this will give you access inside to be able to flip the latch and the latch. So now let's just, let me say it's easy. Let's just take the top. Flop it up. Get it ready to lock down. And then just come up here and bang. We have the soft top over our sun shade underneath. Nothing that interferes. Now we're able to just go inside, grab the latch, push it into position and lock it in shape. Flip up the sun shade. And I'll come back here in a second and show you what it looks Okay, so we folded the soft top down and here's what it looks Obviously, the important part of this is this little latch right here, which is pretty simple. Here's our shade right here. Here's that metal rod and we're just going to push this into place. We're going to lock it down and flip our visor up and we'll do the same thing here on the other side. Just push it into place. Lock it down. Now we're locked down. As you can see, the sun shade just fits right along right here. There is a little trick. If you'd This is the way I do it. Just flip it back a little bit. You'll see there's no sag whatsoever on the inside. Here's the other layer on the other side. So it's nice and smooth all the way around. I've shifted to the back of the Jeep and there you can see all the mechanism over the top. There's the logo and see how much space there is. There's quite a bit of space above this. So now it's ready to go. That's pretty much it. That's the soft top being put up over the top of the sun shade. And you can see all the clearances that we have here. Nothing is going to get in the way of anything. Your top is just sitting there waiting for you to flip the soft top back down and use your sun shade.
