Drift Armor

Alright, so as you'll see in the video I change clothes three times even though t I was having a lot of camera issues. I was using the iPhone and you'll see in a second and then I switched to my GoPro Hero 4 w You We got a lift in the garage and the reason it's taken me so long on t Check them out on Facebook, Knox Power. We're getting a little bit closer to actually getting it ready to drift. I will go over all that in the next video but today it's about the bash bar. Let's get it. Today I'm installing t I painted it with caliper paint w I don't have to worry about surface rust and I'm gonna go ahead and throw some paint on it today. I got the same color as my engine bay and then I actually picked up t I'm gonna try to make I went ahead and got the heat gun and I heated up these cans. I feel Good t So I'm gonna do the light coat and then I'm gonna come back later and do another coat. So we waited about five to ten minutes. Another good idea if you're painting is get you a bit of light so you can go underneath it and look around and see all the paint in super detail see if you missed any places. But I'm gonna go ahead and apply the second coat. Alright so decided to let it take a 24-hour dry sesh and now that it's dry it turns out that the glitter paint is terrible. Get a close-up here and you can see how absolutely terrible. It's basically just w It's not glitter paint. I'm gonna go ahead and put t Alright so basically here's the front of the car light inner cooler you can see it all and then right down here where the frame is that's where t So there's an existing hole right there where the front b I'm gonna be able to reuse that same hole and I'm t So I'm probably gonna have to redrill another hole unfortunately because these the pinch welds right here came undone from the factory. I've got Austin here and he's gonna help me put it on so we're gonna do that now. Alright so we managed to get it in we had to use t Basically, I can't see that at all. I'm gonna go ahead and screw that in. As tight as I can get it hand tight I'm just getting that in there so my side's good and solid. So basically we loaded t We don't have to keep changing bits and it's a little lazy way out so that's what we're doing. Put it in t I promise this will never happen again but I really wanted to get this video out because I noticed nobody has So I really wanted to do that for That hole is already in there and the bolts are already in there from the previous b Now if you go down to the bottom hole. The bottom hole right here that's where we drilled the Christmas tree bit. I just had a spare bolt and not laying around so I went ahead and put that through. Now you can see on the inside right here that there the bolt was a little bit long but So basically you're just going to be doing that on both sides. Now the cool part is at bottom hole not being drilled yet does give you a little bit of customization for what angle your bash bar wants to go at.
