I'm Sean Croft for the GE Pistons and today we're going to be talking about how to identify your pistons. A common question we get with our sales department is what pistons do I have? I bought these pistons online and what are they for? So there's a few easy ways you can identify this. If you look at the bottom of any off the shelf GE Pistons, there will be several n This n It will be a six digit n If you have them on your piston, you can take that on our website in the top right corner and enter that in and that will give you all the details including what wrist pins it used, what rings it used, wire locks, etc. It will also give you a short description telling you what application it is and allow you to click through to the original page that describes those pistons. The smaller now this is different because it's not specific to a piston but every GE Piston will have this n If your piston only has that six digit job n If you want to identify it in that case, you would have to call GE Pistons, give them that six digit job n The last n A lot of people confuse this n It is not. It's actually just an identification for our use to tell us what forging this is. This forging can be made for several bore sizes. We can adjust the compression height. There's literally millions of configurations we can do on the piston one forging n However, it will give us an indication about what bore range it is and what application it possibly could be for.
