com. So Clive, why don't you tell us a little bit about what's happened here the last 60 or so years? Okay, my wife and I got married in 1950. I was making $37 a week before taxes. We came, were in Flagstaff, Arizona. I was working for the government, and she was a homebody. We decided that we would come back to Texas County, w And then we decided that we would try to get in a business of our own. So my father and I owned a home in Texas County. He owned what I did. The man that owned ACME Auto Parts in Texas County, Joe Livesey, asked if we would We said we thought we would. So we came to Longview and looked at the rick and yard. It was comprised of five acres with a little haydike block building about 20 by 30. And that's where we started our fabulous story of the rick and business. We stayed there for until 1965. We acquired Southern Auto Parts and also another yard in Marshall, Texas. We had three yards at one time. Over a period of time, that de-escalated into just one yard, w T Yeah, came in 1980. 1980. And we've been in t But we've had an enjoyable relations We've got 12 wonderful people that work for us, including my daughter and my granddaughter. But we have a lot to be grateful for. We've got a successful business. And we enjoy meeting people and telling them the true story and the fact that whatever we tell them will be the truth. There's no beating around the bush about it. We try to send you a nice part that's usable, why buy new when used will do. So that's the And that's our story. Why buy new when used will do. You can buy a quality part from us for one-fifth the price that you would pay at a dealer. And the part is guaranteed. So there we have it. You want to talk a little bit now? Well, yeah, it's been a long road. We've had quite a few ups and downs. As he said, my dad acquired Southern Auto Parts here in 1975. I came here in 80 after working in other endeavors for a we had some ups and downs. We had the business. We had a major fire here in 1984 that practically burned us to the ground. We didn't let that deter us at all. We got back in business, buckled down, worked hard, rebuilt the business. And to the point that we're here today, we've been in continuous business now for 40-somet My great-grandfather, my grandfather was there.
