We are a diesel diagnostics and repair facility in Colton, CA specializing in fuel systems.
In 1951, when my Dad, Frank Ostoich, caught the vision of Diesel Injection Service, he was working as a mechanic at the Colton Cement Plant. Previously (both before and after his service to his country in World War II), Dad drove trucks for a variety of concerns, including Colton Cement Plant. During World War II, Dad served his country as a Chief Machinist’s Mate on a sub chaser in the Mediterranean. It was during World War II that Dad honed his skills. In 1951, Dad rented a corner of an established truck repair shop located at 932 West Mill Street, known as Commercial Auto Repair, which was owned by “Slim” Doubenmeier, a well-known local truck mechanic. Slim’s dedication and ingenuity made a lasting impression on Dad. Diesel Injection Service was now in business! While Diesel Injection Service began as a part-time venture, it quickly grew into a full-time occupation for Dad. The customer was always foremost in Dad’s mind, as he made every effort to “fill the need” of the trucking public. The business quickly grew and, during the 1950s, Dad hired Bill Grammer and Jack Frost, who both remained in the business with him for decades. Dad, Bill and Jack set the standard for excellence that has positively affected each and every subsequent employee. Dad actively worked in the business until December 2006 (age 91), and passed away in March 2007. To the end, his life was dedicated to serving the public. Although he is no longer physically present in the business, the standards of excellence he set over the decades continue to guide the current generation of specialists at Diesel Injection Service. Many of the current employees of Diesel Injection Service have themselves been there for decades, carrying on the tradition of stability and excellence. The stability and excellence has won the trust of many valued customers and suppliers, all of whom have contributed, along with the personnel at Diesel Injection, to the tremendous success of the company. Dad was known for his integrity, reliability and commitment to excellence. Those traditions live on at Diesel Injection, after serving you for over 60 years at 932 West Mill Street we have now relocated to our new state of the art facility, Colton Ca. To our present customers, we appreciate your patronage. To our future customers, we look forward to building our relationship. Excellence in Diesel Performance and Customer Service Since 1951
