Participation this year is already up 30% over 1,400 ideas submitted last year. Dorman Products heavily invest in their employees' education and training, believing that it will not only affect the company'success but positively impact the community. One such partnership is with Jefferson Community and Technical College Adult Education Program, which benefits not only current contributors but all potential and interested applicants. Applicants and applicants are given the opportunity to take work-ready classes where they can earn the National Career Readiness Certification and the Kentucky Essential Skills Certification. Potential applicants who complete this educational program are granted an interview and, if hired, are given a higher starting hourly rate than those who do not participate. Located in Gallatin County, Dorman Products strives to give back in meaningful ways to their community. Each contributor is given a paid community service day to volunteer at a charity of their choice, and Dorman Products has generously donated to several community programs. Additionally, a group of contributors from Dorman started a local non-profit called Stand With Us, focused on narcotics addiction, rehabilitation, post-medical care, support groups, and career services are just some of the assistance they provide.
