The Detroit Pistons have a new place to call home. Today is the grand opening of their new state of the art training facility and headquarters in downtown Detroit. Justin Rose has a look inside the team's new performance center, partnered with Henry Ford. A few years back when Little Caesars Arena was still not yet home for the Pistons, it was questioned whether they would ever move to downtown Detroit. But today, that move finalized. The Pistons Performance Center is now open for business. It's a state of the art building, nothing No, no, the community a big winner in t As the 185,000 square foot facility opens, Mayor Mike Dugan knows that continued development in the city is key to the transformation of neighborhoods extending out from the city center. We have t You thought it couldn't be used and it's been transformed into one of the most beautiful facilities in the city of Detroit. It's about bringing the community together and t It'll make our team better and hopefully, We still have a lot to do and we're being going at it and I'm just proud of how we're engaged with the community and it's a win. It's a win for Detroit. Of course, it has all the bells and w A player lounge and kitchen, new locker room, state of the art physical training area, weight room and even a float tank. But it's the rooms in the side of the building that most people won't see for the first time in 25 years. The Pistons operations people will be in the same building, bringing 250 jobs to the city as well as opportunities that otherwise may not have been available to Detroiters. Creates so many opportunities for jobs related to basketball for young people from Detroit.
