Interstate Diesel Service began operations in 1947 rebuilding Detroit Diesel injectors. During the 1950’s the company started manufacturing fuel injection components. Working with OEM’s such as White Motor Co., GMC Truck & Coach, Diamond Rio and others, Interstate Diesel’s reputation as the premiere injector rebuilder began to grow both domestically and internationally. During the 1970’s, McBee Supply was formed to service the aftermarket with replacement parts for Cummins Engines. As McBee Supply grew, so did its coverage of replacement parts for Caterpillar, Navistar, Detroit Diesel, and Komatsu engines. Since the early 90’s, Interstate Diesel has designed and patented a number of new fuel injection components including the industry leading “ECOTIP“ technology. This has been proven to save fuel and reduce smoke on EMD engines. In 1997, Interstate Diesel became the OEM partner to Electro-Motive Division of General Motors, now Electro-Motive Diesels, for all OEM mechanical unit injectors. In 2002, Interstate Diesel added another OEM account; the Detroit Diesel division of Daimler-Chrysler supplying new fuel injection parts. As Interstate-McBee celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2007, yearly sales continue to break previous records. A new branch was added in 2007 in Los Angeles, California. In 2008, Interstate-McBee moved into a 150,000 square foot addition to our Cleveland warehouse operations and is currently working on a 25,000 square foot expansion to our Cleveland manufacturing plant.
