Welcome to our channel that reviews all the best in car audio, performance, suspension, and more. Because we don't got stock. And if you're like us where stock just doesn't cut it, Okay, so there are three categories when it comes to subwoofers. Sound quality, competition, and name brand. Now when it comes to sound quality, brands And when it comes to competition base or DV Drag, Sundown, Digital Design, Deathbounce, DC Audio, and American Bass are some brands that come to the top of my head, although there are much, much more out there. And major brands include JL Audio, Rockford Fossgate, Kicker, Alpine, and Memp So let's go over each of these categories and a few brands wit So let'start with sound quality or SQ woofers. Now I t Now SQ systems are built around fidelity, accuracy, and imaging. Equipment is centered around speaker components and digital sound processors. And although subwoofers are of course part of the equation when building a sound quality system, it's not the main focus. The subwoofer is designed to complement the other audio equipment. It adds significant depth to the low end and reduces the workload on the front and rear speakers. As a result, the speakers can operate more accurately and with less strain, ultimately elevating the sound quality. Companies that do a great job in t Now these companies set their focus on things T So let's talk about those types of subwoofers now. Now companies that compete in the SPL category are Digital Design, Def Bounce, DC Audio, American Bass, and Send Down. Now there are a lot more out there but I'm just aiming those to you. Now these woofers are designed to handle thousands of watts of power with ease and are designed for large vented boxes. Now these woofers are designed to play very deep bass notes, ones that can capture Now note if you're t But when t On to the next category, Major Brands. These are major brands These brands were built by car stereo shops The woofers built by these companies serve about 90 to 95% of the market out there and the additional 5 to 10% is going to be your SPL and sound quality folks. Now wit But these companies have perfected subwoofer design to satisfy most people and have done a good job so they were able to support end users with good service. Wit Rockford Fosgate is known for their hard hitting base and they j Notable lines are the P2s and P3s w Next kicker, now kicker is recognized as one of the most popular brands in car audio and many people know them for their sub woofers and their signature sub woofers are the Square L7s. Now as far as the L7s are concerned, they make several different series including the shallow L7 and the top of the line Solo X w Moving on to JL Audio. Now JL combines loud bass with great sound. Not technically considered a sound quality sub woofer but these sub woofers do sound really good. T Some may say they priced themselves out of the market but you'd be surprised by all the customers that keep coming back regardless of the price tags. Notable series include the TW3 shallows and of course the W7s. Moving on to Alpine. Now Alpine is known for their Type R and Type Subs, good power handling at a reasonable price. Versatility on both woofers being able to work in both sealed and ported boxes. The sound of the subs are very good. I would say not quite as good as the JL Audio but a much better value. And finally Memp Now Memp They have recently expanded on that line and introduced the Mini Mojos and the Mojo Pros. Now Memp Hard training base at a reasonable price along with a very wide range of sub woofers to fit anyone's budget and definitely one of our favorite brands here at the shop.
