RPM Transmissions

I'm here with David Guffey from RPM Transmissions. PRI SSR T8 is equipped with a Tremac transmission, the T56 Magn After acquiring the transmission from Tremac, were able to take that unit, get it over to RPM Transmissions indiana where the guys were able to get in there and work a little bit of magic into the unit to be able to handle all t We're looking to put the car in the eights and getting some tweaks through RPM Transmissions was definitely a must. So I'm here with Dave and I want Dave to maybe get into a little bit about what we got going on in the transmission and why it was required in the first place to be able to handle t How are you doing, David? First, what we did was we basically made it our level six, keeping the six Magn We converted over from a GM platform to a Mopar platform to be able to work be Then we did a service enhancement of the micro polis It reduces the friction and heat, wears the gears. Then we upgraded all the rings to compressed carbon rings and the fork pads from the factory plastic pads to al Pretty much. Sounds So ultimately, as you heard from Dave, it takes a lot to be able to really get these units to handle the type of power that we're planning to throw at. It's not that the Tremac isn't as strong as it is, it most certainly is. But these added little tweaks will be able to handle the horsepower and get us in the eight second zone. I really wanted to say thank you to the guys at RPM Transmission. They do a great job. If you're going really fast in a stick car, chances are you've got an RPM transmission already in your car, but if you're looking to build it and make it even faster, see these guys, they'll get you rolling through the gears and they also do automatics.
