KC Jones Plating Company, Plating Division Located in Hazel Park, Michigan, the KC Jones Plating Division (AKA Chemetco) was originally incorporated in 1955 as K.C. Jones Plating Company. The company provided specialty metal finishing for the defense, aviation, and emerging electronics industries. K.C. Jones grew rapidly on a philosophy of first-rate quality and service. Additional growth was experienced through acquisition. Over the years, KC Jones built a reputation for innovation by developing processes, finishes, and capacity to meet customer needs. Today, KC Jones Plating Division specializes in a broad range of metal finishing operations serving primarily the automotive industry. Recent achievements include a high volume precision process that deposits MiccrolloyTM bronze to the ID of gears, MiccrolloyTM NiB electroless nickel boron plating for transmission thrust washers, and high speed precision sorting equipment. KC Jones Plating Division is a charter member of the EPA Michigan Strategic Goals Program for the metal finishing industry. QS-9000 certification was achieved in 1998. NADCAP Accredited in 2012 for Chemical Processing and Aerospace Quality Systems KC Jones Plating Company, Adhesive and Sealant Division Located in Warren, Michigan, KC Jones Adhesive and Sealant Division (formerly Arrow Profile) was purchased from the Loctite Corporation in 1975. It became one of the first Loctite authorized Application Process Centers (APC) in the United States. Working closely with Loctite, (now Henkel-Technologies), many processing and quality improvements have been made over the years. Today, KC Jones remains committed to providing top quality, environmentally friendly, dry-to-touch thread-locking, thread-sealing, and lubricant coatings for fasteners, fittings, and other components for the automotive, marine, military, and electronic industries. Light assembly, furnace brazing, and annealing capability was added during 2006 in response to customer demand for a broader array of services. The Adhesive and Sealant Division also houses corporate offices for the KC Jones Plating Company. Ford Q1 was achieved in 1991. QS-9000 certification was achieved in 1998. C&R Plating Corporation, a subsidiary of KC Jones Plating Company Located in Columbia City, Indiana, the C&R Plating Corporation was purchased by the KC Jones Plating Company in 2002. Originally incorporated in 1968, production began with zinc and yellow chromate, and was expanded to include electroless nickel in 1974. By the late 1970’s, C&R had earned a reputation for repeatable jewel-like quality. Based on a philosophy of exacting quality, turnaround, and personalized service, C&R has grown to become a full-line specialty plating house serving the automotive off-road, aviation, electronic, medical, and general manufacturing industries.
