In 1959, Walker Tool & Die, Inc. began operations in the back of a gas station in Grand Rapids. Within a few years, the company purchased its own building and moved to its current location. The original block building was about the size of a small garage. Today’s facility covers over 2 acres! Throughout the years, Walker has continually revised and expanded it’s equipment list and today operates an array of sophisticated machines and tryout presses. Included are wire EDMs, a 6-axis laser, over a dozen machining centers, as well as small vertical and horizontal mills, grinders, saws and miscellaneous equipment. Pressing ahead in today’s competitive manufacturing environment, Walker Tool & Die, Inc. is committed to remaining at the forefront of technology and innovation and will continue to expand in an effort to deliver to our customers the best solutions for their tooling needs.
