Okay, so I've decided to post a review for Mean City Cycles seat mods since I couldn't find anyt Mean City Cycles is a company that I found while on the Harley Davidson for I'd initially gone to Corbin being that I live in Central Florida, unfortunate enough to be about an hour from one of Corbin's locations. Took several trips up to Corbin's location in Ormond Beach, tried on a variety of their seats, took them for test rides, but just couldn't get happy with anyt So looked at the Utopia seats and several of the other ones. I wasn't able to find anyt After hearing about Mean City Cycles on the Harley Davidson for I went with the memory seat, memory foam modification on the stock seat pan, and I did a custom leather cover. Looked at several of the seats covers that they showed on their for So I found pictures of a seat stitch out of a Bugatti Veyron supercar and modified that design. And un Now having said that, it's not 100% what I had in mind, but we emailed back and forth probably almost 40 emails over the course of a couple months exchanging ideas, and finally settled on the one thing I would have Although when I got the seat out of the box, the stitc That was because of the conditioner that they put on the leather. The seating surface, the sides are leather, and then the edges here are black vinyl to match. It's a very good match. No issues with that. I said I would have preferred the stitc Took it for a ride today. I did about 120 miles on it, and I've got to say I'm very impressed so far. I was warned that it may take 800 or 1000 miles for the seat to break in to the point that it wasn't uncomfortable, but I'm happy to say that it was comfortable immediately. First trip out there, I rode out to Destination Daytona today, w Very nice supple leather. It's got lots of give to it. You can see the memory foam component there. In fact, I just set my helmet on the bike when I went into a gas station, and I came back out and there was a ring in the shape of the bottom of the helmet, w Now we'll have to report back once I've had a chance to put some serious miles on t I'm a little bit concerned about the bend right here that may crack over time, but I'll just have to do my best to keep it conditioned so it'soft and pliable. Anyone who's curious about the bike, it is a 2007 FLHX Street Glide, and t I did lots of comments on it, but apparently they didn't sell a whole lot of them when the bike was new.
