We are unique in this industry because we produce for demanding and highly selective customers in the U.S., Japan, China, Europe and Russia. We have produced more than 15,000 executive and luxury van conversions – which is a testament to our client’s appreciation for our quality and inspired craftsmanship. El Kapitan is rare in the van conversion industry because we do everything in-house: design, fabrication, seating, painting, and especially woodworking and wood finishes. With exception of the vehicle itself and certain manufactured components, nothing comes from an assembly line. Every last executive and luxury van conversion is a handcrafted work of art. El Kapitan is unique among many companies because we’ve grown our in-house capability through in-house talent. Most of our management team and employees have over 30 years of experience. Many of our builders have been with the company 20 years or more. We have very little staff turnover, and that means ground-floor-and-up attention to detail and superior workmanship.
