How much profit was made in a day as a mobile mechanic? Today was a light day and we started off with a diagnosis of a 2009 Kia Borrego and for this diagnostic we charged 175 bucks. And for those of you that are going to say, oh 175 bucks! The 175 dollars goes towards the quoted repair cost and I only actually make 175 bucks if they don't use my services. Overall this diagnostic took about an hour. Next I did front and rear pads and rotors on this 2016 Honda Odyssey. I charged 650 bucks and parts cost me 300 dollars. From start to finish these brakes took about an hour and a half. When quoting prices it's best to go off of your market value. Here in central Florida most of my clients report getting quoted around a thousand to twelve hundred bucks parts and labor for front and rear pads and rotors. Overall for these two quick jobs not accounting for taxes or other expenses I made about 500 bucks.
