What's up everybody? I'm Randy. You are watching the 5-5 Garage Channel, and today we will be talking about vacu Now, before we get started, hopefully spring will be arriving soon. It's a beautiful clear day today, a bright blue sky, no clouds in sight. It's in the lower 50s right now. I am eager to get out into the garage and to get wrenc I have passed away the winter time, watching a ton of car passion channel and speed academy videos, and you know, they kept me so p I am ready for myself to get back into the garage and get started making content for you all. So, with that said, let's get into what we're talking about today. And today's topic is vacu Now, what is a vacu And thankfully for you all, I have one here in t And the vacu I got it from Sure Motorsports, and this is the 3-port airport vacu I originally got t So, this unit right here is the vacu And I don't know if it will show up very well on the camera, but this one is basically a chunk of al And it has multiple ports all the way around it. And t So, why would you want a vacu I got this little guy because I have some projects that are upcoming, wink, that will require me to be able to tap into a vacu Now, I didn't want to just pipe in T-fittings into vacu So, I got t Ok, to give This port will be my incoming vacu And then later on, I can just add in fittings and have one going to my boost pressure gauge. I might even also run my boost control solenoid off of t I haven't decided yet, but t Later on down the road. Ok, insulation on t You got two mounting points on the back. I t And then if I decide to switch t But, that in nutshell is what a vacu What it does and the reason why I needed one. So, let's get started on that install. Alright, so here we are back out in the garage with the Mazda Speed 3. Finally, spring is here. And to get started on today's project, the first t And we need to remove the shroud over the intercooler. Here is the vacu And since we are working with metal on metal contacts since these are made out of alright, there we have it. I have my two ports set up. I got my extra block off plugs. I'll sit in. So now, we just have to mount t So, lucky for me, I found t I can't even remember what it came off of, but it does have the proper spacing for me to be able to mount the air box onto it as well as have it sitting at angle away from the battery box. So, I just need to find some washers and then install it on there. To mount my air box to my bracket, the kit comes with these Allen head bolts and I'm going to add a washer to them and some blue lactite to make sure that t So, now that I got my new hose hooked up to the intake manifold port, I'm going to snake it over to the vacu Measure out enough, probably about so, and then I'll cut it here. And then, I'm going to take the old Bypass Valve hose and run it from here over to the vacu Now, all I got to do to finish t I'm going to take the old bypass valve and then I'm going to reinstall the shroud. So, it's just such a nice day and I'm already out here and I got the hood up. I t And basically what it is a very there we go. Everyt Got my new Shure Motorsports air box in place. Got my line ran to my Bypass Block valve and I got the line from the intake manifold. Started the car up. Wasn't any issues. It didn't have any check engine lights.
