Hi, I'm Steve Minick, Autobotting Grand Forks. I do general auto body repair, collision repair, and hail repair. In 1988 I thought about starting my own business. I was working for another body shop in Grand Forks. I talked to him and seen if he's ever going to sell out. He said he was, but then after a couple more years he decided he's going to go on for longer. So we decided that we'd just start our own business and we stepped down. Some of the best parts about owning your own business is that financially, or they're good at the end. Just want to get past the little h Just being able to get up in the morning knowing this is your place, your business, and everything's going good. I do one thing that probably not a lot of shops do is in the morning when they come, So I'm not giving a better job to one or other of the employees. They always draw paper and that's what jobs they get. We've been in business now for, this is year 26, and we do all insurance work now. I no longer do any builders or things It's all insurance work. We are a director pair shop for 14 different insurance companies now, where they actually work with us and get things going that way. And then working with the employees here, I'm very fortunate. I've got very few turnaround. In 26 years I've only had four employees go through the shop. So I keep all my employees. They've been good and faithful to me. I've often wondered what it would have been Yeah, Jack, Kramer come in when we first started out. He come in, helped me out with bookkeeping, tax preparations, getting everything that my payroll tax is when I hire it up, employees, and just got me going in the right direction. And then he also still stops in once in a while and checks up, make sure we're still going on the right foot and everything. I very much recommend score to anyone that wants to get out there and start a new business. It helps a lot. Things went great with the help of the score and I definitely appreciate it.
