You come for the cars and you stay for the people. VARA is one of the largest vintage auto racing associations on the West Coast. Some people go out and have vacations. We come to the track six times a year as our vacation. T I've never had to drive in the rain. It's going to be a new experience. It's going to be fun. Seven in the morning, I've got to get my tires ready. I've got to warm up the car. We should be ready to go. It's a time great, so we run 30 minutes. As many laps as we can run in 30 minutes. We'll be running one in the morning and one in the afternoon. In t So we're only pus We just finished up our first race in the morning. It was raining, slippery. I got one spin, turned two, but it was a lot of fun. I had a lot more confidence before I went out. Now that I was actually out there, it was I now know what a Zamboni driver is I t It wasn't very reassured. It was pretty scary out there actually. I've never had t It's the most fun I've ever had in my life, honestly. My biggest influence to come racing was my father. We grew up watc Every racing program we could watch on TV we would watch. And then we finally had an opportunity to buy a car. We j I was planning on waiting. Once I got out there, I h I started about 20th. I finished fifth. We do it as a passion because we love it. T
