Hello, Today I'm talking all about the new Dyson Airwrap and comparing it to the original, as well as sharing how to use all of the new attachments so that you can get the most out of your tool. And I also have a full tutorial using the original Airwrap, so I'll link that in the description below. So what is the difference and it's the attachments. The good news is the bases are the same, so all of the new attachments will work on the original Airwrap and they can all be purchased separately. First up, the dryer head attachments. The new one is the Kowanda Smoot Now it's very easy to change modes. Just twist the top piece and when you see the dryer vent and it clicks, it's in dryer mode and smoot So you can still blow dry similar to the original attachment, but the airflow on the new attachment is more direct. As though you're using a nozzle on a blow dryer, w Now the Smoot It's very easy to use. You want And it acts similar to a round brush, so it'smooth w And you will have noticeably less flyaways at the top and it's really great to finish off Next up are the Smoot First you have the Firm Smoot Now the bristles on each of the brushes are the exact same, but what has changed is how they move. On the original, the middle row, it didn't move. And on the new re-engineered Smoot I love t It is so easy to use. Now if your hair is curly, you'll want to use the firm brush on damp hair. And if your hair is fine Okay, make sure it's free of all knots and just work in sections. Use medi And then I And I'd recommend doing one last pass on the cold setting just to help prevent any frizz. You'll want to slide it slowly when you're up by the root and then brush it quickly once you get to your ends because they'll dry way faster. And I find it easiest to keep all the dry hair in front and the wet in the back. And it's truly that quick and easy. It leaves you with a frizz-free look, and I love how my hair still has a lot of vol Next, we have the Round Vol So not much has changed here. But this attachment is wonderful for smoothing frizz at your roots, adding body to your bangs, and it's great for vol Now, to give vol And to create a curl at your ends, once you reach them, twist to create more tension, leave it for about 10 seconds, set it with a cold shot before turning it off and removing it. And you'll have a really nice soft curl, and t Personally, I love t Next, the most exciting change, the new barrels. They still come in two different sizes. You have the one and a half inch to create vol 6 inch for loose, bouncy, vol But instead of needing two barrels for each size, you only need one because the new one curls in both directions. Thank you. All you do is turn the top to change the airflow direction, much easier, faster, and far less confusing. Also, for the original air wrap, you had to purchase the long barrels separately, so I had a total of six barrels for my original air wrap, whereas now you can purchase the short or long edition air wrap. So now you only need two barrels, and they recommend the short edition if your hair is chest length or shorter, and the long edition if it's chest length or longer. Now, there's two main ways to use the barrels, and for both, you want to start with towel dried hair, and to help the curls last, you need to add some texture. So I recommend a soft hold mousse when your hair is wet. A palm size is more than enough, and then just gently comb it through. And then dry your hair until it's about 80% dry. You want it to be If it's cl The first method is the beach wave. Use the one and a half inch smaller barrel for tighter curls on high speed, medi And hold it So when it's down, I want my first curl to go away from my face, so the arrow is going to be pointing away. Then wrap a two inch section around the barrel and keep it nice and flat so it dries evenly. And then turn on your air wrap and hold for about 15 seconds. Then use your cold shot, and once cold, it takes a couple seconds, turn it off, and remove your curl. Now, if your curl isn't And for the other side, switch your direction. So when your barrel is pointing downwards, you want your arrow to go away from your face, and then repeat. And repeat throughout the rest of your head, alternating the direction for more vol And of course, finish off the style with the dryer head attachment to smooth any flyways. And if your curls have a hard time holding, just Second method, the classic air wrap. Moose applied, t Now, if your roots dry frizzy, pull out the round brush and smooth them once or twice first. For soft, vol 6 inch barrel, Pinch your section a few inches from the bottom, leaving out your ends, and bring your barrel be Turn it on and your hair should attach and just move your barrel back towards your head. No twisting or rotating. Hold until dry, about 15 seconds, and then use your cold shot. It takes a minute and then turn it off and remove, and you should have a beautiful soft curl. Now don'touch it. Okay, if your hair didn't attach or didn't look t So just grab a smaller section and try again. T So just repeat throughout the rest of your head. And I Just twist your arrow and then place it in front of your section to curl towards your face. And then once you're done, just shake out your curls. Now, if you have the original air wrap, I would definitely say treat yourself and upgrade to the new barrels. They are just so much easier and faster to use. So there we have it. My arms are very tired, but I really hope that you found t Please give it a th And any other questions that you have, please comment them down below along with any tips or tricks that you use for your air wrap. Thank you so much for watc Bye.
